Starting at the ancient city of Amman you will travel to the enigmatic Dead Sea where you can relax and float in its supposedly healing salt waters. From here you will journey to the rose-pink city of Petra, the jewel in the crown of Jordan's antiquities. The Jordanians are famous for their warmth and hospitality and the food is tasty, wholesome and in good supply. This is one adventure that will really transport you back in time as you retrace the footsteps of is Lawrence of Arabia territory, through this romantic desert kingdom. Best of all you’ll be in the company of like-minded single people so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to share your experiences with others. 8 Day Jordanian Tour from £1129 Tour Itinerary Day 1: Arrival Amman After being greeted by your guide who will assist you through the immigration procedures, you’ll have a chance to meet and mix with like-minded fellow travellers at your hotel Day 2: Amman City Tour - Jerash - Dead Sea - Amman Your holiday starts with a tour of Amman where you’ll visit the cities ancient sites. We’ll then to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the Middle East. Our final destination is the Dead Sea, the largest "Natural Spa" in the world. Day 3: Arrival Amman - Desert Castles - Amman Today you will be shown the magical 8th century Desert Castles. The Amra Castle is adorned with a zodiac dome and early examples of Umayyad fresco paintings. Your day comes to a close with an overnight stay in Amman. Day 4: Arrival Amman - Madaba - Mt.Nebo - King’s Way - Kerak - Petra Today will drive through biblical lands where we will glimpse the Promised Land of Moses and take in the ancient sites that overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Jericho. We’ll then follow the caravan route to Kerak before arriving at the rock city of Petra. Day 5: Petra Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is Jordan’s biggest attraction. Its ancient residents left us the breathtakingly cavernous sandstone buildings that you will explore today. On horseback, you’ll then ride to the narrow canyon, and walk to the Treasury, Petra’s most beautiful monument. This magical day is one you’re sure to re-live with your companions over dinner. Day 6: Petra - Wadi Rum - Aqaba Today you’ll discover the wild desert landscape that captured the heart of Lawrence of Arabia. An exhilarating 2-hour Bedouin jeep tour will lead you to sand dunes, canyons and Nabatean inscriptions. After lunch at a Bedouin camp we’ll drive to the Red Sea for a relaxed evening. Day 7: Aqabi at leisure - Amman Aqaba enjoys splendid weather for most of the year allowing you to enjoy its varied water sports. In the afternoon we’ll drive back through the desert to Amman.
